About Us

Raised in Devine, TX, Pastor Bill used to play 'Church' with his friends, with himself as the pastor. This love of God still shows through in everything he does.

With a wife, two daughters, and two granddaughters, he still finds time for outreach in the form of everything having to do with our church. He can be found at just about every event we have  - from every committee meeting to every youth function and outreach program. He is active in Emmaus, Kairos, and Epiphany programs, youth camps, and any other outreach program we support.

When one of us is in the hospital, or otherwise in need, we often wake up to find him praying at our bedside. Since he has been with us, no one has gone without his comfort and support in their time of need.

Diane was born & raised in NJ and has lived in Edinburg since 1990.  Married to high school sweetheart Ed since 1978.  They have three sons, Jarod (wife Cristy), Adam (wife Bonnie) & David. Blessed with grandchildren, twins Tyler & Joshua, Jacob & Brodey, & Khloe, Garrick & Garren, & Sevy.

She has been involved in Lay Speaker ministries, Crop walks; Walks to Emmaus, as well as served on the Valley Emmaus Board; Commissioned Parish Christian Educator in the UM Church; Epiphany ministries; Developed Friends in Faith program at her home church at McAllen FUMC.

She looks forward to meeting with everyone and working in ministry with all here at Mission FUMC.

Dan not only is the pianist (as he says - who needs an organ when a piano can sound this good?), he is also our choir director. His beautiful tenor voice can be heard each week at our 9:00 Praise service, as well as when he gives the choir a rest and does the anthem solo at the 11:00 service.

In addition to working with us, he also teaches at one of our local high schools, and is instrumental in their annual musical theatrical production.

Come and hear a concert every week as he not only entertains our ears, but our hearts, with his inspirational renditions of both classic and modern spiritual music.

Ruth actually worked for Mission FUMC in the early 1990s. Since then, she has been youth and children's director at other Methodist churches in the area. She is a Phys. Ed. teacher at a charter school in McAllen and brings a great deal of experience and enthusiasm to her position. 

Maria has been with us since 2000, keeping all of our buildings clean, picking up after us, setting up for most of our events, and generally doing more than one person would seem to be able to do. THEN when we added audio visual capabilities to our worship services, she learned that too! She is truely a multi-talented lady and we are blessed to have her as part of our staff.
