Acolytes- 3rd through 5th graders assist in 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship

At Home Prayer- faithful prayer for known prayer concerns, situations, the church and it’s ministries. Prayer Group meets Mondays at 11 am in the Chapel.

Bell Choir- seasonal opportunity to help enhance worship through bells   Contact:  Carol Anderson or church office

Chancel Choir- youth and adults rehearse on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. and sing weekly in 11:00 a.m. Traditional Worship

Children’s Ministry- help in many areas with Bible-based ministry for children ages 3 through fifth grade on Sunday mornings.  Contact:  Ruth Ann Hudson 585-1665

Cooking- helping prepare meals for various events and studies, or for individual families as needed and at weekly Dinner With Friends Friday suppers.

Communion Assistant- prepare and clean up elements for monthly communion  Contact:  Office 585-5665

Computer Whiz- assist our Audio Visual technicians in programming and running the sound and visual worship systems. Assist the Administrator with computer backups and software updates. Contact the Church office at 585-1665.

Congregational Breakfast- On the 1st Thursday of the month from October to April, starting at 07:30 AM. For only $2.00 per person, come have a full, hot breakfast, an informational program, and good fellowship. Like to cook or serve? We could use your help there too!. Contact the Church office.

Contemporary Worship- be a part of the Praise Team—sing or play an instrument. Practice on Wednesdays at 5:00 PM and play at the 9:00 AM Praise service. Contact the Church office for more information 

Decorating Sanctuary and common areas- creatively enhancing the worship atmosphere throughout the year, especially for special seasons and celebrations.  Contact:  Lisa Keller or Dorothy Unger

Dinner with Friends – help prepare, serve, and/or clean up for weekly Friday evening neighbor-hood dinner – serving begins at 5:30 p.m. Contact:  Office

Food Pantry – help with distributing food and/or record keeping on 1st & 3rd Thursdays. We also do food pick-up from local stores and the RGV Food Bank and deliver to local colonias.   Contact: Sandra Rice 956-331-8986  or  Susan Elkow 585-5665

Food Pantry Sacking Preparation – help with picking up food at the food bank and/or separating and boxing food items on Wednesdays before Thursday distributions. Contact: Sandra Rice 956-331-8986  or  Susan Elkow 585-5665

Greeter – offering friendly greetings, giving directions and/or tours of the church to guests for regular and/or special worship times. Contact the Church Office 585-1665

Helping Hands – being willing to do small repair jobs, run errands, help to change out a light bulb and many other small chores as needed around the Church. You'd be surprised at the multitude of little things that need doing!  Contact:  Church office  585-1665

Sunday's He-Brews Coffee Bar - besides all the other opportunities mentioned, help is needed to prepare and put out the coffee and goodies for Sunday mornings.  Help is also needed to clean up and put things away after the 8:00, 9:00 and 11:00 a.m. times of worship. 585-1665

Hospitality/Congregational Life –  helping with hospitality at church, such as potluck dinners, July 4th and Christmas Eve worship services fellowship.  Contact Pastor

Instrumentalist or Soloist – offering your musical gift for worship or small group setting. Contact Dan Steenken through the Church office at 585-1665.

Lay Servant Ministry – becoming a certified lay speaker to assist in leading worship and various ministries. Call the Church office for more information.

Mission Service Project – help youth repair local homes through food or money donations, delivering supplies, leading a work team, trouble-shooting, being a chaperone, etc.  Contact:  Rev. Bill Duke 585-1665

Nomads Group - 

Nursery Volunteers – help play with and care for the children in the nursery on an as needed basis.

Office Volunteer Help – answering the phone and helping with various needs in the office.  Contact:  Diane, Admin Assist 585-1665

Pablo's Closet -  Clothing Ministry open by appt, but open 3rd Thursdays each month during Food Pantry day 9-12 N.  Donations gratefully accepted of clean, gently used clothing/ household items anytime.  Emergency clothing available to any in need. Contact office for appt. 

Prayer Ministry – helping to make prayer a priority in our church through various means. You can join us each Monday at 11:00 AM for our weekly prayer group or become a member of the Prayer Chain to pray for specific needs as they become known.

Small Group Leadership – being willing to lead a small group and attend training/  accountability meetings.  Contact:  Church Office

Stitches of Love – sewing, quilting, crocheting, knitting blankets and gifts for hospitals and where there is need. Contact: Marty Orton or Debbie Kuethe thru the Church Office 585-1665.  They meet the 2nd & 4th Tuesdays in the Music Room.

Sunday School Teachers – sharing the Good  News of Jesus Christ with people of all ages Contact: Ruth Hudson

United Women in Faith (UWF) Now UWF United Women in Faith. Meeting from October to April, join our Women’s group the 2nd Thursday of each month for lunch and an informative program. They also have various fundraisers and activities throughout the year.   Contact: Trudy Johnston or Joyce Lee

Usher – serve as usher for Sunday morning worship and/or special worship times  Contact:  Church Office 585-1665

Vacation Bible School – Teach, assist, lead music, help with crafts, food, or recreation for one week each summer for  3 year old through 5th grade children.

Visitation – Wednesdays at 2:00 pm. Being Christ’s representative by visiting in the hospital, homes, and nursing Homes. Take our shut-ins flowers, when available, copies of the Sunday Bulletin, DVDs of the sermons, and provide special prayers and comfort.    Contact:  Office or Pastor Bill

Wesley Nurse - Rosa (Laura) Tovar, We have an on-staff nurse, courtesy of the Methodist Health Services. She can assist in finding health related assistance, programs for those who need them and many other areas of concern.

Youth Ministry – be present at meetings, be a mentor, assist with weekly meetings, meals, special outings, trips, and spiritual learning opportunities for junior high or senior high youth.    Contact: Pastor Duke 585-1665
